Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT)

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission into the MSAT Program, applicants must submit the following:

  1. A B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Official transcripts* must be provided.
  2. A 3.0 GPA.
  3. C or above in all prerequisite courses:
    • Biology with lab
    • Chemistry with lab
    • Physics with lab
    • Statistics
    • Human Anatomy with lab
    • Human Physiology with lab
    • Intro to Psych
    • Exercise Physiology
  4. Application.
  5. Resume.
  6. Two professional recommendations.
  7. Completion of Clinical Observation Experience.
    • Minimum of 50 hours.
    • Must be completed with a qualified Athletic Trainer Preceptor.
      • Must have current BOC credential.
      • Must hold current state licensure or registration.
  8. Interview with Faculty of the MSAT program (can be in person or online).

*Students enrolled in Waynesburg University's Integrated 5 year program may submit their unofficial transcript when applying during their junior year to show completion of all general education courses and pre-requisite courses.
