The Waynesburg University Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Division serves our institution and advances the University mission across campus through the facilitation and alignment of our strategic planning, assessment and evaluation, compliance, institutional research, and accreditation processes.
The overarching goal of Institutional Effectiveness is to ensure educational quality and data integrity with a focus on student success and learning. Additionally, we:
- Assist all areas of campus to support the University mission;
- Ensure quality data;
- Inspire a campus culture that uses data-informed decision-making to engage in continuous improvement.
To accomplish our mission and goals, we:
- Transform data into actionable, reliable information;
- Foster the use of authentic and innovative methods to gather, analyze, generate, report, manage, and disseminate data;
- Provide accurate, consistent, relevant, and timely information that is accessible to internal and external constituencies;
- Work across campus to provide data and/or reports to support effective program analysis, student success and learning outcomes, grant writing, accreditation, and other University processes;
- Facilitate the integration of this information into institutional decision-making including policy development and planning processes;
- Ensure institutional alignment and compliance with both federal and state reporting requirements;
- Offer educational research consultation to the University community;
- Support the campus community with ongoing assessment and evaluation of academic efforts and assessment of student learning at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
