Nurse Camp

Waynesburg University's 2025 Nurse Camp will be held from July 23 through 25.

Nurse Camp is for current junior and senior high school students who are interested in studying nursing. During this three-day, overnight camp, students will be educated about the nursing profession through classroom activities and hands-on opportunities in our Simulation Lab. They will also have the opportunity to earn CPR certification through the American Heart Association.

The camp cost includes instruction, activities, CPR card and training materials, and a t-shirt. All meals will be provided.

9:00 – 10:30am	Register and Move-in
10:30am - 12:00pm	Ice Breakers, Introductions, and Camp Overview

1:00pm - 3:00pm	Skills Immersion in Nursing Simulation Lab
3:00pm – 4:00pm	Dr. Potato Head Surgery
4:00 – 5:00pm	Debrief and Free Time
5:00 – 6:30pm	Dinner* and Free Time
6:30 – 10:00pm	Game Night

7:30 – 9:00am	Breakfast* and Report for Day Shift
9:00am – 12:00pm	American Heart Association CPR Certification
12:00pm - 1:00pm	Lunch*
1:00pm - 2:30pm	Hands-on Learning Stations (types of nurses, germs, etc.)
2:30pm – 4:00pm	Ambulance Tour
4:00 – 5:30pm	ER Escape the Sim Lab (Escape Room)
5:30 - 7:00pm	Dinner* and Free Time
7:00 - 10:00pm	Movie Night and Snacks
