Waynesburg University’s mission is to educate students to make connections between faith, learning and serving so they might faithfully transform their communities and the world. Waynesburg University helps students develop academically and professionally on the foundation of faith. Each year, up to four incoming freshmen at Waynesburg University will be selected to receive the Waynesburg Christian Life Scholarship. The scholarship recognize students that have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and that are involved in the life of a local church as they grow in faith. The Waynesburg Christian Life Scholarship is $4,000 over four years ($1,000 per year).
Those that receive this scholarship will be encouraged to grow in their Christian faith while also developing leadership qualities at Waynesburg University. Students that receive the Waynesburg Christian Life Scholarship will be paired with a Christian mentor from their anticipated field, discipline or major. Scholarship recipients will also be provided with activities, conversations, and mentorship through the office of the University Chaplain and the Center for Campus Ministry.
Applicant Requirements
- Be an accepted first-year student at Waynesburg University;
- GPA of at least 3.25 to qualify;
- Complete the scholarship application, including one letter of recommendation from a pastor or staff member from within your church.

How to apply
Qualified candidates interested in the Waynesburg Christian Life Scholarship should apply for admission to Waynesburg University by Nov. 1. Interested students who are accepted to the University will be asked to complete an additional online application.
