Waynesburg University’s Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science offers a variety of opportunities for students to engage in outreach, leadership, and professional development. Through student-led organizations, students can build valuable skills, network with professionals, and contribute to the community.

American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter

A nationally recognized organization that promotes the advancement of chemistry through research, education, and outreach.

  • Attend meetings and parties to connect with students and instructors
  • Engage in community outreach by providing lab experiences to local homeschooled students and through our summer STEAM Camp
  • Conduct chemistry demonstrations at hour annual Haunted Lab
  • Attend and present research at the ACS National Meeting
  • Leadership Roles: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Outreach Coordinator

Our graduates are working in medicine, pharmacology, agriculture and soil science, geology, mining and metallurgy, material science, engineering, patent law, pollution control, and ecology.
