Devon Bowser

Biography

Dr. Bowser is the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, program director for the Master of Arts in Counseling, program director for the Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Education and associate professor of counseling. Her clinical focus is primarily addressing the emotional and behavioral needs of children and families, with a specialty in addressing the impact of autism on individuals, families, and communities.

Dr. Bowser regularly volunteers as a consultant to build community supports for families of children with special needs. Her research and presentations have focused on child and family counseling, spirituality in counseling, diversity and inclusion within education, and the use of popular culture in counselor education.
