David Floyd

Director of Development and Alumni Relations

Biography

Dave Floyd graduated from Waynesburg University in 2012, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and emphases in journalism and sports broadcasting/sports information. During his undergraduate time, he participated in numerous activities, including men's soccer, The Yellow Jacket, WU Sports Network (WUSN), Leadership Scholars Program & mission/service trips.

Upon graduation, he took on a full-time role as an admissions counselor, spending five years within the office in various roles and earning his M.B.A. with an option in market development in 2015.

In the spring of 2017, he transitioned to the Office of Institutional Advancement as a major gifts officer. In his various roles within Institutional Advancement, Floyd has been blessed to travel throughout the country to meet with many alumni and friends of Waynesburg. Through his work, he aids in connecting these alumni and friends to the University and one another, as well as opportunities to positively impact students.

Floyd and his wife, Jess (’12, MSN ’15), an assistant professor of nursing at the University, live in Waynesburg with their young son, Ben, and their dog, Copper. He also serves as an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in town as well as on the board of directors for the Greene County United Way.
