Andrew Heisey
Professor of Art
Biography
Before coming to Waynesburg University, he was a high school and middle school art teacher for 15 years. He is a ceramic sculptor who has exhibited his artwork throughout Pennsylvania. At Waynesburg University, he teaches a variety of courses but specializes in teaching Art History, Ceramics and Sculpture. One of his passions is taking students on international Art History trips. His latest Art History trip took students to Barcelona, Spain, where his students had the privilege to visit The Sagrada Família by the architect Antonio Gaudi.
Beyond the visual arts, Professor Heisey is an active member of the James D. Randolph Kiltie Band. You can often hear him on and around campus playing his bagpipes.
