Jenny Jellison
Professor of Psychology
Biography
Dr. Jellison is a research psychologist, with a specialization in animal behavior. Students she has mentored have gone on to graduate studies and field work in primatology, anthropology, and elephant conservation. She teaches Intro Psych, Social Psych, Statistics, Research Methods, Experimental Psych, and Learning Theory.
Dr. Jellison believes education should be a process of collaboration between student and teacher. She does not want her students to feel she is an unapproachable person imparting knowledge, but a facilitator of their growth. To that end, she strives to create an environment conducive to both intellectual and personal growth in her classroom. Getting to know students and helping them find their purpose is her favorite part of working at WU. She hopes her enthusiasm for this role, as well as for the science of psychology, is evident to her students every day.
