Waynesburg University offers new full-tuition scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of three students annually starting in the 2019-20 academic year

Waynesburg University has established the Founders Scholarship, a new full-tuition scholarship to be awarded to a maximum of three students annually starting in the 2019-20 academic year.

“We are so excited to be offering this new competitive opportunity to the best and brightest students in Pennsylvania,” said Dr. Shari Payne, vice president for enrollment at Waynesburg University. “Waynesburg has a long history of providing a top quality education at a tremendous value. This new scholarship program continues that tradition.”

Eligible students must be a first-time freshman, resident of Pennsylvania and live on campus for all four years.

Academic requirements include a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher, 1200 or higher on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections of the SAT or a composite ACT score of 26 or higher.

The scholarship will include tuition and fees only.

Students interested in this scholarship are encouraged to apply to the University no later than Thursday, Nov. 1.

Founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg University is located on a traditional campus in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, with three additional sites located in the Pittsburgh region. The University is one of only 22 Bonner Scholar schools in the country, offering local, regional and international opportunities to touch the lives of others through service.
