Waynesburg University partnered with PA CareerLink Greene County to hold the Greene County Job Fair event Wednesday, Nov. 1, on the University’s campus. The event was open to all Greene County community members and University students.
Waynesburg University’s Pathways Center has partnered with PA CareerLink Greene County before. Last year, PA CareerLink co-hosted the Healthcare Career Fair with the Pathways Center.
This time around, the job fair was open for all majors. According to Terri Cooley-Taylor, a PA CareerLink administrator, there were 41 different vendors in attendance. She said that a variety of industries were covered, including healthcare, business, social sciences and more.
“We’ve gotten some really positive feedback from the University students ahead of time,” Cooley-Taylor said. “The community outreach was positive as well.”
During the event, participants had “the opportunity to make meaningful connections and explore career opportunities” according to Sarah Bell, director of the Pathways Center.
