Waynesburg University’s Music Program is set to perform a series of Chamber Works concerts at noon on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Marsh Center.
The concerts are free and open to the public.
These shorter concerts feature soloists and small ensembles that meet once a week to refine their abilities in brass, woodwinds or percussion instruments. Students in these ensembles have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and artistic expression.
“Small ensembles are for students who want a more personal musical experience,” Eric Brewer, director of the Music Program, said. “The smaller groups really allow students to shine.”

Waynesburg University’s Music Program allows students to major or minor in music in an area of interest through a curriculum that meets the student’s career goals. Under the close guidance of faculty, students will immerse themselves in group and solo performances throughout their studies.
