The United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) has selected Mindy Walls, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program at Waynesburg University, as a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow.

Selection as a USASBE Justin G. Longenecker Fellow is the highest recognition that USASBE gives to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the development, furtherance and benefit of small and medium businesses. The Longenecker Fellow designation recognizes the achievements of men and women whose passion and burning desire for small business and entrepreneurship is reflected in their teaching, writing, training and public service.

At Waynesburg University, Walls is also the W. Robert Stover Chair for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Chairperson for the Business Administration Department and Associate Professor of Business Administration.

Since joining Waynesburg University in 2018, Walls has developed an award-winning Entrepreneurship Leadership Program with curricular and co-curricular programming for students of all majors.

In 2023, Waynesburg University’s eHIVE, an Entrepreneurial Hub for Innovative Ventures and Endeavors, was awarded the Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Center by the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC), and in 2022, the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program was presented with the Rising Star Award for Excellence in Curriculum Innovation in Entrepreneurship at the 11th Annual Deshpande Symposium.

Walls has experience in strategic management and university-level teaching, and a diverse background in entrepreneurship, law, public affairs and the development of academic programs.
