Mosites Construction, the general contractors who completed construction on Waynesburg University’s new Entrepreneurial Hub for Innovative Ventures and Endeavors’ (eHIVE) in February, recently made a generous financial gesture to the University.
Representatives from Mosites were recently on campus to return funds from the construction project, which comprised of the leftover margin plus interest gained.
“We are grateful for Mosites’s generosity and partnership offered throughout the eHIVE project and look forward to collaborating with them on future projects,” said Waynesburg University President Douglas G. Lee.
We take pride knowing that students and future entrepreneurs are well-suited in their academics to become successful in the future."
The University celebrated the grand opening of the eHIVE’s new location in February. Now located on the first floor of Stover Campus Center, the eHIVE’s new space continues the work of the University’s award-winning Entrepreneurial Leadership Program, established in 2018.
“We hope the eHIVE project was a tremendous success for the University, and we take pride knowing that students and future entrepreneurs are well-suited in their academics to become successful in the future,” said Patrick J. Perry, Project Manager at Mosites.
The new innovation hub houses equipment that supports student entrepreneurs in their prototyping efforts and enables them to make products to sell for their own small businesses. The renovations and purchase of the equipment were made possible by generous donors.
