Advertising
In a consumer economy, advertisers support a vast network of professionals and drive social conversation.
As an advertising major, you will examine the complex issues related to an industry that supports much of mass communication activity.
You’ll complete courses from both the communication and business areas to learn how to craft strategic advertising campaigns for a target market. Experienced faculty will teach you traditional and innovative digital strategies to make sure your message is heard and gets results.
There are countless opportunities to use and improve your advertising portfolio through work with student media groups and professionals on the weekly campus newspaper, The Yellow Jacket; the university yearbook, The Mad Anthony; and the campus radio station, WCYJ-FM The Hive.
