QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field desired, 2+ years of progressively successful experience in non-profit fundraising, higher education, or sales. RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donor prospects capable of making major gifts ($20,000+) to the University. This position will build strategic relationships with major gift prospects through personal visits and correspondence. Meet annual fundraising goals, including number of prospects identified, number of significant interactions, solicitations, and major gifts closed. Manage a portfolio of approximately 75-100 prospects and utilizes strong strategic planning skills to develop and implement relationship action plans for each. Plan and implement cultivation strategies to motivate donors and maintain a high level of donor satisfaction through stewardship. Assists the Institutional Advancement team in developing strategies to engage young alumni, annual donors, and mid-level annual donors to cultivate them toward the next level of giving. Maintains a frequent regional and national travel schedule on behalf of the University to visit major gift prospects and attend alumni functions. Other responsibilities within the Institutional Advancement Office may be assigned as needed.

Assistant Soccer Coach
Waynesburg University is currently seeking applicants for a part-time Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach in its NCAA Division III soccer program, which is a member of the President’s Athletic Conference. Responsibilities for the position include coaching, recruiting and administration within the program. Other responsibilities within the athletic department may be assigned as needed. Job Description: Waynesburg University Department of Athletics is seeking a graduate student to assist staff and coaches with the day-to-day operations of the department, specifically assigned to Men’s & Women’s Wrestling. Position entails working 19 hours a week in the Athletic Department. The graduate assistant will report to the Head Men’s & Women’s Wrestling Coaches and Director of Athletics. Duties and responsibilities will include:
Duties include:
- Assist in the direction of assigned athletic teams
- Assist in the organization of practice sessions
- Work in accordance with all staff members of the Athletics Department and Waynesburg University
- Represent Waynesburg University Athletic Department in a positive manner
- Recruit qualified student athletes to participate in the athletic program, as directed by the Head Men’s & Women’s Wrestling Coaches
- Assist in the preparation of game and practice sites
- Possess the ability to communicate the mission of the University and the goals of the Athletic Department to student-athletes
- Serve as site administrator for home athletic events out of season
- Comply with all rules affiliated with Waynesburg University, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, and Division III of the NCAA
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head Men’s & Women’s Wrestling Coaches and/or Director of Athletics
Job Qualifications: All interested candidates will need to successfully enroll in a graduate program at Waynesburg University in order to be eligible for the assistantship. Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills, familiarity with a variety of software such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Adobe Professional, Front Rush, Slate, etc.; the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines; and availability to work evenings, Sundays and occasional weekends.
