Chad Sherman

Associate Professor of Communication

Biography

Chad Sherman teaches the application and theory of photography, graphic design, web design and multimedia. Dr. Sherman is well versed in the use of web programming and many advanced photographic techniques.

He is an advisor to the student chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) where he helps students apply their classroom knowledge to practical experiences with real-world design clients.

Chad is a member of the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and is an officer in its Newspaper and Online News Division. In this capacity, he manages their website and helps organize their annual conference. He regularly presents his research on news coverage and using programming in the classroom.

Dr. Sherman is father to a wonderful rambunctious son and, therefore, watches far too much Daniel Tiger. He loves reading true crime novels and listening to indie rock music.
