Fall Play - The Boys Next Door

An event hosted by the Fine Arts Department

The Waynesburg University Players, under the direction and guidance of Professor Edward L. Powers, will present the heartwarming and humorous play “The Boys Next Door” by Tom Griffin November 7,8,9, and 10 at 7:30 pm in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center on the University’s main campus. The story revolves around a group of special needs men and their care giver. Through their day-to-day experiences the audience discovers that these unique individuals are not that much different than the rest of society. These men wish and desire to have a place to live, a job to do, a joke to tell, and someone to love. At its premiere the New York Times said the play “moves the audience to an awareness of how many things in everyday life we take for granted.”

This a special play that will entertain, enlighten and touch the heart. Ticket prices are $3.00 for WU students, $5.00 for community, and free for WU faculty and staff.
