MERIT SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Vocal Merit Scholarship Audition requirements:
-2 songs in contrasting styles (one in a foreign language and one in English)
-Bring Recorded CD Accompaniment
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a High School vocal ensemble OR previous solo performance experience
-Short sight-reading exercise

Instrumental Merit Scholarship Audition requirements:
-2 pieces in contrasting styles (one technical and one lyrical)
-Bring Recorded CD Accompaniment (if available)
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a High School instrumental ensemble

Scale requirements: (selections will be made the day of the audition)
-Chromatic scale the range of your instrument
-15 Major scales at least one octave ascending and descending
-One form of 15 Minor scales at least one octave ascending and descending (natural, harmonic or melodic)
-Short sight-reading exercise
