Major Fields of Engineering
The liberal arts route prepares students for any of the various engineering specialties offered at a cooperating university. Essentially any major field of engineering is available to students from among our cooperating universities.
Available programs include:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Nuclear Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Engineering students avoid the large beginning classes at universities and move directly to the advanced engineering courses, having smaller enrollments during the last two years of the program at a cooperating university.
Although our 3/2 engineering program is five years, many students attending a four-year university program graduate within the five-year time frame as well. Overcrowding in beginning engineering courses at universities may prevent students from enrolling in certain required courses and often deters them from completing the engineering requirements within four years.
