OVERVIEW
Studio arts taught at Waynesburg University include drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and design. These avenues of visual expression, as well as elective courses in graphic design, computer imaging, and technical illustration, will help to prepare you for a studio career or for specialized study in graduate school.
You will explore the creative process, gain practical experience using the tools and techniques of the visual artist, and develop an appreciation for artistic expression in a variety of cultures.
As you explore your talent and abilities, you will also gain an important perspective concerning the role of the arts and artists in modern society through studio and art history courses.
All art instruction takes place in the new Fine Arts Center, which includes a gallery, the Benedum Fine Arts Gallery, for presenting the work of student and professional artists.
