Available classes will include drawing, pottery and beginner piano

Matthew Stultz Aug 22, 2018

Waynesburg University’s new Fine Arts Academy will offer three classes for community members this fall. The classes will include drawing, pottery and beginner piano.

Classes will begin the week of Sept. 17 and will be held weekly through Dec. 8. Registration and payment must be completed before classes begin. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 7.

The two art classes will meet each Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Benedum 120. Students should be age 12 and older. The beginner piano class is for students ages six through 12 and will meet each Monday at 4 p.m. in Benedum 114.

The Fine Arts Academy is open to anyone who shows motivation to study in a comprehensive collegiate music and art setting.

In addition to taking a class, high school students may elect to participate in one of the University’s large ensembles, including Chamber Orchestra, Lamplighters Concert Choir and Symphonic Band.
